Instructions
- Put eggs in the saucepan in cold water.
- Set the heat on high.
- Bring water to a boil. It should be a full rolling boil.
- Turn off heat completely and put a lid on the saucepan. If your stovetop is electric, remove the saucepan from the burner and then cover the pan
- Set the time for the time desired. Leave the eggs in the covered pan for the amount of time that is right. And for how long you ask?
- It also depends on whether you want soft-boiled or hard-boiled eggs. For softer eggs you just want a slower cook time of about 4 minutes, but with firmer soft-boiled eggs you want a total of 6 minutes. For firm yet creamy hard boiled eggs you want to cook it for 10 minutes.
- After that you tap the eggs gently when the time you choose is up. You want to remove the eggs from the saucepan with the slotted spoon.
- Then put the eggs in a bowl of ice water. You want to leave the eggs there for a minute. Peel and eat the egg and enjoy!
You can also do fewer eggs or more at one time.
To store the eggs, refrigerate any unused in their shells before two hours. They will last about a week in the fridge.
